About the show
Sound of the Moment is a podcast released every second Monday and hosted by bassist and composer Pat Cleaver. The show features conversations and interviews with jazz musicians on a variety of topics such as the creative process, sources of inspiration, and of course discussions of the guest’s latest releases and projects. Sound of the Moment strives to provide valuable insights into the lives and minds of artists and serve as a platform for the promotion of jazz and improvised music.
About the host
Pat Cleaver is a British bassist, trombonist and composer currently based in Amsterdam. He has been a busy member of the local and international scenes, performing and recording with projects such as Tin Men and the Telephone, K tríó, Toms Rudzinskis quartet, Felix Schlarmann Group, Tessa Rose Jackson, Julia Oschewsky Band, Daan Herweg trio and Secret Swing Society. Pat has been awarded several prizes as a performer, most notably that of Best Bassist at the international Jazz Hoeilaart Competition in 2012, and the Best Soloist prize at the 2014 European Jazz Competition. Pat has performed in clubs and festivals across the globe, spanning more than 20 countries.
